Green Infrastructure

I recently watched an short video from the IMF who broadly outlined 3 main areas that Net Zero can allow for a more prosperous world:

  1. Invest in more green infrastructure and clean energy; 2. Switch to clean technologies by raising carbon taxes; 3. Invest carbon revenues in PEOPLE to make the transition equitable, inclusive and pro-growth.

Clearly, collaboration between governments, local authorities, business and the public is fundamental. A Just transition creates opportunities and alternatives to people, society or regions trapped in fossil fuel dynamics (see World future council).

Selling solar power back to the grid is a simple but effective opportunity initiated by a path to net zero. Warehouse automation and technology will require a re-skilled workforce.
